The General Purpose (GP) or All Purpose (AP) saddle is a general saddle suitable for most uses as the name suggests.
The General Purpose saddle has a slightly rounded saddle flap with no knee pads and this allows the rider to change their position from a dressage position to a jumping position without any restriction by adjusting the stirrup leathers. Some general purpose saddles have attachable pads which can be added, adjusted and removed completely when required from under the saddle flap.
