Horse rugs
Horse rugs are sized at 3 inch intervals (ie 4'3", 4'6", 4'9", etc) and to measure a horse to ascertain the size of rug needed the horse is measured from the centre of the chest, around the shoulder, along the side of the horse to point of the buttock.
As most horses don't measure exactly to the rug size intervals if the horse measures in between two sizes it is better to get a rug that is bigger rather than one that is smaller. For example if a horse measures 6'1" or 6'2" is it better to get a 6'3" rug rather than a 6'0" rug.
The table below converts the inches measurement into rug sizes in feet and inches.
